When you want to stay in one of the nicest places on earth between the region of the vineyards and also feel as comfortable as possible at a fantastic accommodation in a most friendly atmosphere, than I can recommend everybody to have a stay at Franschhoek Manor Guesthouse. The host, Norbert Benitzke told us from the start he will not handle us as guests, but as a family. He didn’t lie one word of that. Also Michael, who made wonderful healthy breakfast, was such a great host. They all want to have you a great time with them. . I do not give often this number, but they deserve a fat 10! Thank you for this unforgettable stay these 5 days. We’ll hope to see you next year again.

The location is simply amazing. Two pools, super silent, spacious rooms. Breakfast was delicious and the host and stuff was super friendly. We’re coming back.

What an enchanting two-day retreat we enjoyed at Franschhoek Manor last December! Witnessing the sheer delight on our youngest adult son's face as he marveled at the Manor, the breathtaking views, and his exquisite room was truly heartwarming.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Norbert, Salesial, and Michael for their exceptional hospitality and boundless generosity, turning the guest house into a home away from home. No request was too much trouble, and their invaluable recommendations for local restaurants and vineyards were spot-on. At day's end, they took the time to ensure our satisfaction and inquire about our experiences. Michael's breakfast is an absolute must!

Franschhoek Manor serves as the ideal haven for relaxation by the pools, a perfect home base, and a place where you can unwind while soaking in the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

We discovered Franschhoek Manor already years ago and now had the chance to spend some days at this lovely guesthouse.
We particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden with the two pools, and the good talks. Norbert is a great host and was wonderful in booking us a table at a great restaurant for our first night while we were still on our way to Franschhoek! Thanks also to Michael for our daily ‚customized’ breakfast! :)

We have spent a two weekends at Franschhoek Manor - what a spoil … we were treated royally to the most divine food and good wines …. Our hosts Norbert and Salí went out of their way to make everything a unique experience …. We spent a lot of time beside the pool listening to the sounds of nature whilst enjoying the most lush garden surroundings .
Norbert I am so sorry to hear that you and Salí are leaving - please do let us know where your next venture is , and we’ll be right there !!!!!

Lieber Norbert, waow, was für ein schönes Haus, tolles Zimmer und der Märchengarten mit Pools. Man taucht in eine andere Welt ein. Durch Deine Hingabe, liebevoller Umgang mit Deinen Gästen, da fühlt man sich sofort zu Hause. Das 5 Sterne Frühstück im Garten, schön angerichtet und lecker, ist ein super Start in einen neuen Tag. Three wonderful days at Franschhoek Manor guesthouse. The views, the garden, the pool and breakfast are superb. Our room - spectacular and so comfortable. Norbert is a fantastic host and even found us a table at a fabulous restaurant that we had been tried was fully booked. He went out of his way to drive us there too. The guesthouse far exceeded our expectations. Norbert and his staff’s personal touch to everything makes for an unbelievable experience. Beautiful gardens, amazing food, great wine and clean rooms. His attention to detail is amazing. He always has wonderful recommendations for sightseeing and even calls the places ahead to make sure that your experience there is also unforgettable. Nadine and I spent 2 nights at the Franschhoek Manor directly after our wedding and what a wonderful experience it was. We were welcomed by Norbert and hosted by Norbert and Salesia for the weekend. Norbert was very welcoming and was very accommodating towards Nadine and I. He and Salesia was always checking up on us making sure that we were okay and comfortable over the time of our stay. The rooms were very spacious, very neat, and very comfortable. The garden and pool area are very well taken care of, it was very peaceful and relaxing being outside in the Garden. We will definitely revisit the Franschhoek Manor and we will definitely recommend the Franschhoek Manor to anyone who would like a relaxing escape. Thank you Norbert and Sal for the wonderful experience at the Franschhoek Manor.

With such charming hosts as Norbert and Salesia , we were entertained in true French Tradition … red,white and blue ribbons everywhere , fabulous accommodation and a Bastille Day meal to die for !!!
We were treated to French Campagne ,saffron risotto and a delightful Truffel tagliatelle …. And not to mention the cakes and desserts afterwards !!!!
An absolutely awesome weekend was had by all !!!!! Thank you Norbert and Salesia !!!!!

We were so please to find This Guest House open again. Norbert and Salesia are the new and wonderful hosts of this splendid place to stay. The rooms are individually designed and elegant. Room touches such as the fruit, flowers and complimentary fridge items welcome your arrival. The gardens are splendid, private and the pools are very inviting. Our hosts and staff could not be more friendly and helpful in making our stay memorable. The location is ideal, quiet at the back of the town making it a short walk into the centre and a short taxi ride back after enjoying the many lovely restaurants and bars.

es war unser erster Aufenthalt in Südafrika und ich muss gestehen, ich war schon sehr aufgeregt was uns erwarten würde. Aber unsere Tochter hat uns zum Einstieg in dein herrliches Guesthouse eingebucht.
Schon der erste Eindruck hat uns erstaunen lassen. So ein wunderschönes Zimmer, der parkähnliche Garten und dazu noch der nette Empfang.
Du hast dich gekümmert das wir köstlich gespeist haben, du hast dich gekümmert das wir sicher unterwegs waren und gemütliche Abende mit ganz vielen Informationen durften wir auch mit dir verbringen.
Es waren rundum herrliche entspannte Tage und falls wir nochmals nach Südafrika reisen… einige Tage bei dir sind ein Muss!

ganz unverhofft und so gar nicht erwartet, habt ihr es so schön und unkompliziert hin bekommen, hin gezaubert, dass diese 2 viel zu kurzen Tag bei Euch wundervoll waren!!!
Noch einmal ganz herzlichen Dank für die "Rettung" meines Geburtstages, der mir sehr wichtig ist und die so angenehme, viel zu kurze Zeit bei Euch!!!
Ich schaue mir die Bilder und Videos an und kann es kaum glauben, dass ich bei Euch war. Es ist räumlich so weit weg und doch so nah durch diese phantastischen Eindrücke!!!

Jetzt ist schon eine Woche vergangen, seit wir für ein paar Tage im Franschhoek Manor zu Gast sein durften. Zurück im kalten Deutschland schwelge ich immer noch in Gedanken in Franschhoek und diesem Gästehaus.

Bei einem Besuch in Kapstadt's Winelands steht vor allem die atemberaubende Landschaft im Vordergrund. Will man aber auch mal am Pool entspannen, muss man im Franschhoek Manor kein schlechtes Gewissen haben, seine knappe Urlaubszeit im Hotel zu vertrödeln. Das Gästehaus ist sehr schön in die Natur eingebettet. Der Garten ist weitläufig und bietet einen traumhaften Blick auf die Berge. Er vermittelte mir das ganz spezielle Franschhoek-Feeling, wie man es auch auf schönen Weingütern bekommt!

Das Franschhoek Manor lebt aber auch vom Herrn des Hauses, Norbert. Wenn einem danach ist, kommt man schnell bei einem Glas Wein ins Gespräch und erfährt tolle Insider-Tipps zur Region und interessante Anekdoten eines Auswanderer-Daseins.

Uns hat es wirklich an nichts gefehlt!

Als anspruchsvoller Reisender empfehle ich das Franschhoek Manor uneingeschränkt für alle ebenso anspruchsvollen Urlauber bestens weiter!!!

Lieber Norbert, ganz herzlichen Dank für die wundervolle Zeit bei dir im Franschhoek Manor. Das Guesthouse im kapholländischen Stil ist der Traum, die Gartenanlage, die Pools, ..... die gesamte Location ist "awesome"! Du warst ein sehr sympathischer und wundervoller Gastgeber und hast unseren Aufenthalt - leider viel zu kurz - zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Die gemeinsamen Stunden bei dem einen oder anderen Gläschen Wein und deinem sensationellen Kaiserschmarrn werden wir nie vergessen. Das herrliche Frühstück von "Fuchsi" auf der wunderschönen Terrasse haben wir ebenfalls sehr genossen. Wir müssen daher baldmöglichst wiederkommen (und dann länger) und hoffen auf eine weitere Runde Golf zusammen. Schaun mer mal ...... We stayed for 3 nights in march and had a wonderful time! The Manor has been rennovated, the manager is kind and can provide you with great tips on what to do in the area. The staff is welcoming and mafe make our stay a true experience.
The facilities are great, we could enjoy the pool, the new beds are a guarantee to good nights of sleep. The house has a generator working during load shedding. It is factually the second time we stayed at the Manor and we will definately come back. Thank you for making our stay special.

! Un très bon accueil, un gest house superbement décoré, beaucoup de goût. Le patron prend soin de ses hôtes, on se sent chez soi. Allez-y, l'endroit vaut le détour à 100 %. Merci au patron et à toute l'équipe et BRAVO.

! Un endroit absolument magique , une maison d hôte pleine de charme avec toutes les commodités modernes. Les chambres et tout l intérieur sont décorés avec goût . Le jardin et sa piscine dont un paradis . Les propriétaires extrêmement sympathiques et accueillants. Nous vous le recommandons les yeux fermés .

Lieber Norbert und liebe Salesia - wie heisst es so schön "... hätte hätte Fahrradkette..." ABER: wäre ich nicht in Swellendamm im Rothman Manor gewesen und hätte nicht auf die Frage, ob man mir einen Übernachtungstip für Franschhoek geben könne, Euer GH genannt bekommen, würde ich heute noch sehr traurig darüber sein, Euren wunderbaren Platz nicht gefunden zu haben! Das war definitiv einer der schönsten "Zufälle" in meinem Reiseleben. Nicht nur dass das Haus innen und aussen wunderschön ist, eine hervorragende Lage in Franschhoek hat (sicher, ruhig und fussläufig zur Hauptmeile, auch zum Petite Colombe ;-)), man ein wunderbares Frühstück bekommt .................... der warme, herzliche Empfang; der "familiäre Anschluss", der gemeinsame Wein- und Musikgenuss machen Euch bei mir unvergesslich! Sollte ich je wieder die Möglichkeit eines Franschhoek Aufenthaltes haben, gibt es nur eine Adresse dafür

Es war urgemütlich am Kamin mit einem Glas Rotwein in der Hand - und wenn die Sonne schien schmeckte auch das Frühstück auf der Terrasse. Danke für Eure Gastfreundschaft. Lieber Norbert, liebe Salesia. Wir haben es war gemacht, Euch über das Wochenende zu besuchen. Das Wetter war nicht ideal dafür, dennoch war es ein besonderes Wochenende in Eurem Anwesen in Franschhoek. Die tolle Gastfreundschaft, das tolle und liebevoll zugerichtete Frühstück, der warmherzige Empfang bei der Ankunft, die tollen verschieden eingerichteten Zimmer (insbesondere unser mit dem offenen Kamin) machen Euer Gasthaus für uns so liebevoll. Deine Mitarbeiter machen ebenfalls einen tollen Job. Wir haben Euch in unser Herz geschlossen… wie hatten wir beide gestern am späten Abend bei „Simply Red….usw.“ festgestellt. Alles entscheidet sich in Sekunden. Ja, von der ersten Sekunde waren wir bei euch Zuhause. Danke dafür. Wir kommen bald wieder.

The Manor is positioned perfectly in walking distance to Franschhoek.

The rooms are upmarket, the pool is very large and the views from the garden towards the mountains are stunning.

Best of all are the hosts Salesia and Norbert who really give the Manor a very personal touch and made me feel at home.

I'm looking forward to my next visit to the Franschhoek Manor Guesthouse!

It was a privilege to be the first guests to experience the newly reopened and refurbished Manor - we were a party of four adults and two children, with no other guests in residence.
The location in the Franschhoek valley surrounded by towering mountains is just beautiful and the situation of the Manor on a quiet country road on the edge of the town is both calm and convenient.

The Manor house surrounded by its beautiful gardens with two attractive swimming pools is simply stunning, providing seven very comfortable and excellently equipped bedrooms/suites.
Breakfasts were delicious with a wide range of food to suit all tastes, and were served with a genuine smile.

But most of all, the warmth of the welcome provided by the owners, Norbert and Salesia, and their manager, Georgia, was superb and nothing was too much trouble in their dedication to providing highly satisfied guests.
